What is Case Management?

KSA 23-3509(a)(1)-(8) authorizes a CM to:

• Meet with the parents and others
• Screen and continually monitor for domestic violence & adjust the process accordingly [SC Rule 910(e)]
• Assist parents in reaching their own agreements
• If no agreement is possible, then:
  • Gather information
  • Report or make recommendations to the Court
  • Keep a record of contacts with parents and others
  • Notify the Court of a parent’s failure to pay feesFile for collection of costs (fees)
  • Report threats and danger
  • Directly contact the Court (ex parte)
